At Digital Insurance Summit Europe, we spoke to Efrat Marmur, VP of Marketing at Air Doctor to see why they sponsored for the first time.

Why did you choose to sponsor Digital Insurance?

Efrat: We saw this event and we said, “this is what we really do”. We realised that every time we speak with new insurance companies, they divert us to the Chief Data Officer, and here at Digital Insurance Summit, we are seeing all the delegates are from this domain. It’s really helpful for us to be here to introduce & work with these people, because everyone is very relevant to us, and they are the gatekeepers for new technology.

How have you found the networking opportunities & have you managed to attend any of the sessions?

Efrat: We’ve had great conversations during the networking sessions, with new & current prospects. We work with these types of companies, so to have lunch or speak with them makes it much easier.

Every session I’ve sat in has been great. Listening to how the innovative team, digital team and head of digital innovation feel in almost every panel, it’s amazing because it gives us an insight into what’s happening in the industry.

My colleague was on stage earlier, which was a good opportunity for us to spread the word about ourselves. The Air Doctor name has come up multiple times during the discussions and one of the speakers also mentioned us as a good startup to work with, and how we’re a good example of implementing new technology, so hopefully good conversations will come of that.

How would you rate the organisation of the event overall & will sponsoring have a positive impact on your business goals?

Efrat: I think the organisation has been really good, I was just telling my colleague that Digital Insurance is an amazing conference! We wanted to have many leads & contacts and we’re coming away very happy! It’s the beginning of the year, so we have a lot of time to follow up and to mature those leads. That was our plan, to speak to the most relevant audience and to make sure that we can really take that to the next step.

I’m very happy that we are here, sponsoring has given us a lot of exposure to a targeted audience. Other conferences you speak to so many people and don’t get many leads, but at Digital Insurance it’s very targeted so for us it makes sense to be here.
